What is your vision?
Visioning Beyond Violence artworks on 18 x 24-inch pieces of fabric amplifying creative expression. Artworks can be crafted with various materials—paint, Caran d’Ache pastels, fabric, found objects, and collage, reflecting each artist's unique vision for community safety and gun violence prevention.
We invite creators to reflect on issues like community safety, gun violence prevention, and the root causes of violence. This reflection encourages creative solutions and helps shape each panel’s powerful message of resilience and change. Challenge yourself to imagine and illustrate a world without guns and without blood, a world built on peace, dignity, and compassion. Focus on what uplifts and heals our communities.
By creating a Visioning Beyond Violence art panel, you add your voice to a tapestry of hope and transformation, contributing to a future where art promotes healing and public awareness.
Every Visioning Beyond Violence artwork panel strengthens our communities' resolve to prevent gun violence and promote peace.
Create An Uplifting Vision Square

Start by reflecting on what a safe and supportive community looks like to you.
An “Uplifting Vision” is an 8 x 8-inch expression of hope and artistry. All ages are encouraged to uplift their visions for social justice by drawing, painting, stitching, quilting, embroidering, collaging, or using mixed media to express their 8 x 8 visions on fabric. Examples include uplifting visions of: hope, healing, self care, equity, courage, beauty, disarming hate, and community safety. Challenge yourself to create an image without guns, focus on uplifting visions.
You can piece them together as Prayer Flags for your neighborhood, school and country.
