Every year tells a story.
Some stories are measured in numbers: workshops facilitated, partnerships formed, people reached, and communities engaged.
Others are measured in quieter moments. A student finding the courage to share their voice. An educator discovering a new way to begin difficult conversations. A community gathering to reflect, create, and imagine a future free from violence.
Our 2025 Impact Report captures both.
As we reflect, we are reminded that meaningful change doesn't happen overnight. It happens one conversation at a time, one relationship at a time, and one community at a time.
Throughout the year, Visioning Beyond Violence continued to grow as both an organization and a movement. Together with educators, artists, survivors, community leaders, and partners, we expanded opportunities for healing through art, storytelling, education, and dialogue.
We celebrated creative expression as a tool for connection. We strengthened partnerships that allow this work to reach more communities. We invested in training that equips others to carry this work forward. Most importantly, we continued creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to imagine new possibilities.
Behind Every Number Is a Story
Annual reports often highlight metrics, and those numbers matter. They help us measure progress and understand our impact. But behind every statistic is a person. Every workshop represents participants willing to engage in meaningful conversations. Every exhibition reflects artists who chose to share their experiences. Every partnership represents organizations committed to creating healthier, safer communities. Every training session helps equip another leader with tools to foster healing and prevent violence. Those stories are the true measure of our work.
Looking Ahead
The past year has also laid the foundation for what comes next. As Visioning Beyond Violence continues to grow, we remain committed to expanding access to our programs, strengthening community partnerships, supporting facilitators and educators, and creating new opportunities for learning, dialogue, and healing.
We know this work cannot be done alone. It happens because of the collective efforts of our board members, staff, volunteers, artists, educators, community partners, donors, and supporters. Every person who attends a workshop, shares our mission, contributes resources, or invites us into their community helps make this work possible. Together, we are building something larger than any one program or event. We are building a culture rooted in compassion, creativity, and prevention.
